I will figure out how to cripple the BT erroneous error reporting when I get bored. I imagine somebody important will see it on their computer at MS or HP and it will be solved then. We used to call these bugs back in the old days before it was called blame-shifting.

It is not the drivers, because the driver versions predate the issue. So it's not exclusively Win7, and it's not Bluetooth Devices that cause it. Why did it need a driver? What triggered it? There are no Bluetooth devices near it with active Bluetooth capability.

It uses 4 drivers with the same names but different versions (Vista).

Last night there was a MS Update this morning there was a BPDDMB (Bluetooth Peripheralĭevice Driver Missing Bug). It is 1.3 years old, and has never done this before. This computer I am typing from (HP IQ526 TouchSmart w/Vista 64 Home Premium) is now doing the exact same thing. I get really irritated when a new computer tells me it's busted. And after the BPDDMB, it continued to work.
I know this because the HP dv8 worked fine with Bluetoothįor 3 months. Is there, or is there not, such a thing as a Bluetooth Peripheral Device Driver that must be present to run Bluetooth connections? The answer is NO. Seems if you cannot fix a problem after concerted effort, the odds that a script reader can fix it are slim. HP Support was called after all else failed, which made things worse, not better. "Error! - Nothing Changed" means Random Things Changed Just To _ You Off. It does not work, nor report it's activities correctly. Apparently System Restore is to be avoided. Removing all Bluetooth Drivers and reinstalling does not work (and is a buggy procedure), and System Restore either from boot or with the O/S running has no effect either other than screwing everything else up.
